Manas Sharma is a highly skilled software engineer with over 10 years of professional experience in developing and optimizing high-performance software systems. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Google, Manas is leading key initiatives related to continuous queries in BigQuery, where he is responsible for workload management, fault tolerance, and query execution. His work involves designing and developing efficient algorithms for query reservations, fault tolerance using snapshotting, and improving data export systems.
Before joining Google, Manas worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a founding engineer for Aurora DSQL, where he developed the query processor from scratch, optimized network traffic, and introduced multi-version concurrency control. His expertise also includes working at Oracle Corporation, where he contributed to the DevOps Portal by enhancing code coverage and supporting high availability in cloud-native applications.
