Technical Diversity 101 - Become a better engineer

In today’s rapidly evolving tech landscape, staying ahead can be challenging with so many available technologies. While many companies address this by hiring specialized teams like QA, DevOps, and Frontend, these divisions can slow down productivity. The shift towards Full Stack Engineers helps bridge these gaps, but is that enough?

In this talk, we’ll explore Technical Diversity, showing how it can elevate your career and improve team performance. For example, drawing inspiration from different language-based communities can spark new ideas and solutions. Learn how to foster technical diversity within your team, regardless of your organization’s structure, to solve problems faster and work more efficiently.

Specifications as the better way of software development

In this session, I will highlight one of the most reliable and efficient ways of software development for companies and teams of any size regardless of their architecture, technology stacks, and frameworks.

Have you ever used Ruby on Rails with its scaffolding system? Or maybe Laravel with its own code generator? There is always something that helps you to write less code - nuxi, go-swagger, Hygen, and many others... but does it really?

Everybody knows "code-first" or "design-first" and even the "specification-first" approaches when we talk about microservices and APIs, but what if we can expand it to the whole system not only for service communication, let's dive in!

We will be focused on how specifications and proper code generation can help engineers with:
- reducing the risks of bugs and misconfiguration,
- designing applications regardless of framework tool limitations,
- writing less boilerplate code.

Finally, and most importantly - how to start using this approach today.
