Programme manager for the Resource Wende, an initiative started in 4 EU countries to increase the awareness and mitigate the risks of resource scarcity. The sad war in Ukraine has only shown the tip of the iceberg. There are simply not enough resources to realise essential sustainability transitions AND accommodate worldwide exponential economic and prosperity growth. Europe needs to become much more resource efficient to prevent an overshoot and collapse scenario as already indicated 50 years ago in the Club of Rome report Limits to Growth.
