I'm a nerd from Córdoba, 🇦🇷. I also play bass, have a 🐶 named Lola and sometimes I get paid to do software work.

I’m a software engineer with +5 years of experience, mostly focused on backend and API development with Python.
I also have experience with DevOps tasks and doing frontend things with React.
I like to share knowledge by giving talks, being a mentor or simply helping others to solve problems. E.g. the Django forum.

Currently interested in working on Developer Experience (DX), specially through IaC. Also learning about OpenTelemetry, Go and Elixir.

GitOps 101 with Flux en es

Git is the de facto standard used by teams to organize changes to their apps code.

GitOps is a set of practices that seeks to use the same pattern not only for source code but for any resource (e.g., apps, databases, env variables, secrets, cron jobs, etc.).

Flux is a tool that allows us to keep Kubernetes clusters synchronized using Git as the source of truth.

In this talk, we'll discuss what GitOps is, why it emerged, and what advantages it brings.

I gave this talk as a workshop which consisted of ~20min talk and then a demo setting up Flux, defining an app as a K8s resource, pushing it to Git, and seeing how Flux automatically syncs changes and how we can interact with it.

How to contribute to Python docs in your own language en

Documentation is crucial for the development and growth of any project. If you know English, you're lucky; most technical knowledge is in that language. But what about those who don’t? 😢

A few years ago, the official Python documentation wasn’t available in Spanish, creating two main challenges:

- Many Spanish speakers with limited English skills struggled to access the documentation.
- Translation efforts were fragmented, with different communities attempting partial translations.

Offering the official Python documentation in Spanish provides the global Spanish-speaking community with the opportunity to access it directly, without needing a second language; it also creates bonds of identity among those who join the collective exercise of explaining and translating the documentation's concepts. It generates identity and community!

In this talk, we'll share the journey of Python-Docs-ES, the lessons learned from nearly 230 contributors, and how you can join in, whether in Spanish or in your own language.

Contributing to Python doesn’t always mean writing complex code, it can also mean making knowledge accessible to more people. 💡✨
