Technical professional in Clinical Pathology, graduated in Biological Sciences from Universidade Veiga de Almeida and currently pursuing a Master's degree in Laboratory Animal Sciences from the Institute of Science and Technology in Biomodels (ICTB/FIOCRUZ). With 5 years of experience working in a scientific breeding facility, specializing in primate research, particularly focused on investigating microorganisms such as GBS, Campylobacter spp., Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., and Yersinia spp. During the undergraduate thesis project, monitored the growth of female rhesus macaques during the puberty process and identified the presence of GBS in the vaginal microbiota of resident females in the breeding colonies at the animal breeding center. Further advanced this research during the master's program to develop an identification and treatment protocol for pregnant rhesus macaques, aiming to reduce the incidence of abortions and stillbirths in the colony.
