Dr Marie Griffiths is a Reader of Digital Technologies, at Salford Business School, were she is also the Post Graduate Research Director and is recent ex-President of UKAIS (UK Academy in Information System www.UKAIS.org ). Marie has significant practical experience gained working on varied digital ‘live’ research projects and Knowledge Transfer Projects, which have explored the commercial and societal implications of change driven by emerging technologies. The main areas of research focus are digital transformation, digital workplaces, gender and IT, business modelling and understanding the consequences emerging technologies on society and business. Marie also researches ethics, privacy and surveillance technologies in these areas. This led to co-authoring a recently published book, Digital Strategic Transformation: a result’s driven approach that focused on digitally transforming SMEs. Marie has also recently co-edited a research methods book ‘Researching Information Systems and Computing’.
