Hi There,
I have worked with Microsoft data technologies since SQL Server 7.0. Initially, I was a VB developer, but in 2000 I pivoted into a data role and since then I have worked on hundreds of projects using combinations of MS SQL DB Engine, Analysis Services, SSIS, SSRS, PowerBI, Tabular, Power Automate, Power Apps, and more.
I have run my own consultancy company since 2012 and have a range of clients from just a few users to 5000+ users, across retail, automotive, public sector, and food production. I now split my time between
-> Client Consultancy Engagements
-> Client Data Solution Development Skills
-> Training - Private and Public
I am a regular speaker on Microsoft Data Platform topics and co-leader of the Cork SQL User Group, Cork PowerBI User Group, and Data Céilí. All of my talks and training courses are heavily influenced by real work problems and solutions that I encounter on a daily basis.

Whether you're an IT administrator, data analyst, or a business intelligence professional, you'll gain valuable insights to protect your data while harnessing the full potential of Power BI
Rebooting your Data Analysis Strategy with the Power Platform and Microsoft365
For many businesses setting up a data strategy can be expensive. If you have relatively small numbers of users, the costs can appear prohibitive. This is no longer the case with the Power Platform.
This session is based on real-life customer implementations where they migrated from their Excel, Microsoft Access and custom line of business based reporting solutions towards the Power Platform. We show how we started with Power BI and evolved into a comprehensive solution that combines SharePoint Online, Team and Power Automate with PowerBI to provide an end to end reporting solution.

"Beyond the barchart". Some top picks from "Get More Visuals" to enhance your reports
PowerBI has 37 visuals available to you. However, just a few clicks away, there are 200+ visuals just waiting to enhance your reports.
In this session, I will look at a selection of these visuals, how to use them and outline the range of options that are available to you for use.
Empowering you and your team with Power Virtual Agents for Teams
Power Virtual Agents for Teams combined with Power Automate, allows you to rapidly deploy all kinds of automated tasks to users right within their Teams environment.
Power Virtual Agents for Teams is included in most Office365 licences. In this session, we will look how you can build a chatbot and integrate it with PowerAutomate so that you and your users can perform all sorts of automation
This session will be mostly demo based.
Visio! So what has Visio got to do with Data?
A demonstration on how you can embed interactive visio diagrams into PowerBI. Gain insight into your processes via the diagrams you use to describe those processes.
Power(bi) to the Users. How to turn users into super(satisfied) users.
PowerBI is a great technology that can be used to provide all sorts of data solutions. A developer can quickly get productive and start building models but how about our end-users and super users? This session look at how we can make life easier for them and the IT department that supports them. We will look at;
-> First impressions for end-users and how to make them effective.
-> PowerBI trick and tips to make users even more productive
