IoT & Hardware: Smart Tech, Robotics, Arduino

As an innovator and student at Kisii National Polytechnic, I have participated in several events that have taken place within Kenya. My innovations on real-time gas leaks and real-time water leaks have won both regional and national awards in TVET fairs in Kenya. As a student in agriculture, I am inspired by the challenges facing people on agriculture, water and gas issues. These challenges inspired me to create solutions that combine IoT and Arduino technologies to solve the problems. My passion for technology has also enabled me to pursue an agricultural engineering course, and currently I am a certified tractor operator. On real-time water leaks, I developed a solution that enables farmers and other water users to detect and prevent water leaks that cost them a lot of money. This also applies to gas leak detectors, which are also protecting people from gas disasters. In both of these, I used an Arduino board and relays and gas sensors, respectively, to detect water and gas leaks. My passion for IoT and Arduino is self-taught, and my interest in the same has made it possible for me to learn more and gain skills in robotics and automation.
