Closing the Gap: A Digital Gateway to a Hepatitis-Free Future
This session addresses the silent epidemic of mother-to-child Hepatitis B (HBV) transmission, a leading cause of liver cancer in high-burden regions. Fragmented antenatal care leads to missed screenings and failed interventions, creating a preventable tragedy.
We present ANC HepCare Connect, a mobile clinical decision support tool that empowers frontline providers. Powered by a clinical rules engine, the app translates complex WHO guidelines into simple, real-time actions within the providers workflow. It guides users from screening to action, tracks mother-infant pairs through the complex care cascade, and ensures critical interventions like the HBV birth-dose vaccine are never missed.
We will demonstrate our validated prototype, backed by clinical experts and strong end-user feedback, and detail our partnership with a Ministry of Health for a pilot launch. Join us to see how this scalable solution closes a critical gap in global health, offering a clear pathway to a Hepatitis-Free Future.
