Matan Marudi is a Data Scientist Team Lead at PayPal, specializing in web intelligence, risk modeling, and data-driven decision-making. With a B.Sc. (cum laude) and M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Tel Aviv University, Matan has a strong background in product analytics, fraud detection, and machine learning-driven insights.

Currently, he leads a team of data scientists, focusing on leveraging web intelligence to detect risky sellers and fraudulent activities using advanced data crawling techniques. His expertise extends beyond corporate settings—he also works as a freelance data science consultant, helping startups develop AI-powered solutions, including chatbot assistants for major law firms and creator marketing analytics for D2C brands.

Matan is a certified Gallup CliftonStrengths coach and has integrated strength-based leadership principles into his management style. Since 2023, he has embedded the CliftonStrengths framework into team operations, aligning KPIs with employees' unique strengths to drive engagement, innovation, and high performance.

His contributions to the field include multiple patents in risk modeling and machine learning, as well as published research on ordinal decision tree-based problems.
