Green Innovation: AdventHealth’s Digital Sustainability Initiative with Drupal
In alignment with their Climate Resilience Plan, AdventHealth demonstrates how healthcare providers can reduce their environmental footprint while maintaining high performance standards. In practice a great example of that spirit is the collaboration between Phase2 and AdventHealth to rethink their Drupal framework. The initiative, which debuted in November 2024, refreshed all of AdventHealth’s existing front-end web components and design system from the ground up keeping digital sustainable best practices in mind. The launch of the refreshed theme resulted in a significant drop in CO2 emissions for initial and recurring visits and improved page speed for increased accessibility and performance.
Designing Drupal Experiences with Figma
Figma, a web-based design prototyping tool, is growing in popularity across the design and Drupal community. Featuring interactive components, dynamic asset libraries, and powerful collaboration tools, Figma is becoming the design tool of choice for designers establishing design systems and holistic digital experiences for the Drupal platform. During this session, we will explore the latest features of the Figma application that allow designers to work efficiently and creatively. We will review a variety of best practices that will result in a more consistent and streamlined frontend framework along with better alignment with the frontend implementation team. This session will demonstrate how Figma can become part of your daily workflow for designing and building Drupal sites.
Creative observations while crafting healthcare digital experiences
Over the past several years, Phase2 has worked with several healthcare organizations to design and build digital experiences that delight patients and visitors. From a creative and designer lens, these projects have all brought their own challenges and learning lesions. This five minute lightning talk will cover some of these challenges and ways we can build successful healthcare digital experiences.
