Matteo received the BS and the MS degree in engineering of computing systems from Politecnico di Milano, Italy in 2002, the MBA from Bocconi Business School of Economics, Milano, Italy in 2007, the post BA certificate in geographic information systems from Penn State University, PA, USA in 2009 and the PhD degree in business information systems from Corvinus University, Budapest, Hungary in 2019.
Since 2019 he is Senior Agile Coach in XPeppers actively working on Agile Transformations and the Cloud Native approach.
He was previously senior expert operational excellence in MOL a large Oil company in eastern Europe, a lecturer at the University College Dublin (UCD), the knowledge management officer at the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a management consultant in Galgano & Associati and it manager in TOSHIBA TEC.
Dr Arru is a certified six sigma black belt and member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), the Scrum Alliance, the Internet Society and the IEEE Computer Society. He is a reviewer for the International Journal of Applied Logistics (IJAL) and member of the revision board of the International Journal of Knowledge Management (IJKM) and the International Journal of Knowledge-Based Organizations (IJKBO).

Matteo ha conseguito la laurea magistrale in ingegneria informatica presso il Politecnico di Milano, nel 2002, l'MBA presso la Bocconi Business School , Milano, Italia nel 2007, il post BA certificate in sistemi di informazione geografici presso la Penn State University, PA, USA nel 2009 e il dottorato di ricerca in sistemi informativi aziendali presso l'Università Corvinus Budapest, Ungheria nel 2019.
Dal 2019 è Senior Agile Coach in XPeppers sviluppando tematiche di Agile Transformation e approccio Cloud Native.
In precedenza era esperto senior di eccellenza operativa in MOL, una grande compagnia petrolifera dell'Europa orientale, docente presso l'University College di Dublino (UCD), funzionario di knowledge management presso l'Istituto europeo di innovazione e tecnologia (EIT), consulente di gestione in Galgano & Associati e manager it in TOSHIBA TEC.
Il dottor Arru è una black-belt certificata six sigma ed è membro dell'American Society for Quality (ASQ), Scrum Alliance, Internet Society e della Computer Society dell'IEEE.
