With a successful background in spearheading award-winning activations for leading industry brands, including American Express, Verizon, AT&T, Nike, Mondelez, and McDonald's, McDonald is a proven creative force.
In addition to his professional achievements, McDonald founded Ghostskate in 2011, which has grown to become the largest skate meet-up group in the US, expanding to New York, Chicago, and the Web3 space. As part of VMLY&R COMMERCE team, McDonald is focused on leading clients into the future of commerce in the Web 3 space, collaborating with brands, social platforms, and emerging channels.
Navigating the Challenges of GhostSkate.com's Project and Community
The title of my Lightning Talk would be: "Navigating the Challenges of GhostSkate.com's/ The Pod and MoonriserX NFT Project and Community - The Bomberheads/ The Podx and Moonriser: Lessons Learned from Community Engagement, Discord Moderation, Sales Strategies, and Tokenomics." In this talk, I will share my personal knowledge and insights gained from my experience with GhostSkate.com’s the Pod and Moonriser NFT project, specifically focusing on community engagement, Discord moderation, and sales.
For the 45-minute debate, I believe that partnerships with web2 brands can be a crucial factor in onboarding the masses to the NFT space. I would be interested in participating in a Real Debate on the topic of whether partnerships with web2 brands are truly beneficial. I can provide perspectives on the benefits and challenges of such partnerships based on my own experiences and insights from the advertising industry, working on brands like Coke, Verizon, American Express, and more.
