Meena Chand is a recent graduate from the University of Wolverhampton with a deep passion for mainframe technology and enterprise computing. With nearly five years of experience in IT management, software development, and digital transformation, she has contributed to innovative projects spanning web and mobile applications, IoT solutions, and enterprise systems.
Her expertise in computing was recognized at the GSE UK Conference 2024, where she and her team won the prestigious Catch the Flag (CTF) competition, solving z/OS security and performance challenges. As the President of the Cambridge Wolves Society, she has actively led student engagement initiatives and has been honored with awards such as the Santander Universities Brighter Futures Grant and the Best Organiser Award. She has worked in diverse roles, including Software Developer at Satrex Ltd (UK) and in IT and development positions across Nepal and Germany.
A strong advocate for education and social impact, Meena initiated the Kisori Scholarship to support girls from underprivileged backgrounds. Her guiding mission is to "Lead and Serve."

I will share my journey—from first learning about mainframes through the IBM GSE UK scholarship to earning the IBM Z Xplore All-Star badge in just three weeks. I also won a global Catch the Flag (CTF) competition using z/OS. This session will help you understand mainframes and how you can build a career in this field.
