Meena Chand is a recent graduate from the University of Wolverhampton with a deep passion for mainframe technology and enterprise computing. With nearly five years of experience in IT management, software development, and digital transformation, she has contributed to innovative projects spanning web and mobile applications, IoT solutions, and enterprise systems.

As the President of the Cambridge Wolves Society, she has actively led student engagement initiatives and has been honored with awards such as the Santander Universities Brighter Futures Grant and the Best Organiser Award. She has worked in diverse roles, including Software Developer at Satrex Ltd (UK) and in IT and development positions across Nepal and Germany.
A strong advocate for education and social impact, Meena initiated the Kisori Scholarship to support girls from underprivileged backgrounds. Her guiding mission is to "Lead and Serve."

I’ll talk about how I started learning through IBM Z Xplore, how I won the Catch the Flag competition at the GSE UK Conference, and how I was selected for the Open Mainframe mentorship program (Addressing the COBOL Crisis). I’ll also explain simple ways for students and young professionals to begin their mainframe journey—step by step.
