Megan Taylor, Manager - Engineering Compliance at Illinois American Water. She began her career in the utility industry in 2015 with a focus on buried gas and electric systems. In 2018, she joined Illinois American Water’s Engineering group. She is a recognized water industry leader with experience in program management, water resource management, program development, and research study design and execution.
In addition to her work at Illinois American Water, Megan is also the Chairperson of the Illinois Section AWWA’s Leadership in Total Water committee. She enjoys collaborating with her colleagues and other water industry experts. She hopes to inspire other young professionals, including young female professionals, to make meaningful contributions for quality water service today and for future generations.

Change in Sources- Corrosion Control Studies
Illinois American Water's Engineering team designs and executes a source change study to monitor the effects of diverse water quality parameters on a systems metallic plumbing utilizing Flow Through (pipe loop) and Batch testing methodologies. This submission will provide an overview of an 18 month long journey and its successful completion.
