Melinda has been a part of ECN since January 2016, joining the organization as the Wireless Broadband Program Manager and Deputy SWIC. She guided the process of adopting FirstNet in MN from public safety stakeholders up to the Governor's Office. MN opted-in to FirstNet on Oct 2017. Today stakeholders continue to operationalize wireless broadband from all commercial providers, but also continue to recognize the benefits of FirstNet which is the designated Nationwide public safety network. Melinda supports and promotes the use of wireless broadband across the state and nation for interoperable communications.
