Meru is a human-centered design (HCD) practitioner with experience working on complex social challenges targeted towards underserved communities. She uses the HCD philosophy to meet unmet needs and reduce barriers that help people overcome fears, and take back rightful control over their lives. She has led research and design of programs and interventions for adolescents and youth, rural women and their migrant husbands, persons with disabilities, female sex workers, queer men, transwomen and people who inject drugs. The results of her projects include a pilot, a running MVP, a research publication, a global report and an insights website.

She is the Human Centred Design Lead at TinkerLabs - an innovation consulting firm that merges HCD with Behaviour Science to solve complex social problems and create meaningful and sustained impact, a Youth Champion with Rise Up -an initiative to advance innovation and quality in the field of sexual and reproductive health and rights globally, and a youth representative on the advisory committee of HCDExchange- a Knowledge Hub to explore the role of human-centered design in global adolescent and youth health.
