Scrum Master, What Would You Say You Do Here?
Scrum Masters. We understand what we do (most of the time), but find that other people have difficulty grasping what we do. Often our role is misunderstood and our value lost on upper management, despite the fact that we consistently help teams deliver amazing results.
This talk is to explain in simple and very easy to understand language what we do here and why we matter, as if we were answering the question asked by "The Bobs" in the movie "Office Space"
OAuth In Real Life
My relationship with OAuth began years ago when I was looking to secure my personal apps, but it ended in confusion and without me doing anything with it. Fast forward several months later and I decided "you know what, I'm just going to sit down and dedicate the time to learn this!"...that ended in confusion and without me doing anything with it. The third time I was hopeful that I could grasp it, but this also ended in confusion. Then I had a thought: All OAuth is is just a process for how to do things securely...theoretically this could apply to things I DO understand, and that I interact with in daily life in the real, physical world. The goal is to help people out by explaining OAuth the way that FINALLY helped me do so, by applying real-life examples to it.
