Experienced professional (with 15+ years in business) working in various roles as consultant, architect and team leader. I am keen on problem solving and business enablement through technology.
I've spent last 10 years working with various Cloud technologies on the market helping customers to understand the broader concept, build solutions and get the business outcome. I am very goal oriented and passionate about making thing happen including whoever is required to make the job done.
Currently I am focused on making Microsoft AI platform successful with special interest to Large Language Models and Azure OpenAI.

Security in the Cloud - 10 unknown facts you have to be very careful about while using Azure!

During this 60 min session I will show 10 things which are easily omitted during cloud deployments and can led to data and identity exposure. By default cloud providers tend to give very flexible environment with great possibility of automation, however then people on various levels tend to forget how to deploy environments with security in mind. During my cloud journey for last 5 years in the enterprise sector I have seen security teams focused mainly on networking security while the whole rest has been left. So then during the session we will focus on things like Network Peering and filtering, Outgoing traffic, Azure Active Directory, RBAC custom roles, Azure Policy, Managed Service Identity, Azure VM agent, App Service Plan for AppService, Azure VM Disk Encryption and couple more. All of those, who would like to be active during the workshop, will have the chance to play with those tools on their own environment.

Landing Zone at scale in regulated environment

Foundation phase is a tricky one. Plenty of things can go wrong, decisions made at this stage will stay with you for quite a while so they would better be wise ones. During the session I will cover all the areas of foundation for large scale customers in the regulated environment. We will start with management groups and subscription, to go through identity and networking, to finish with monitoring, security and the foundation deployment.

Avoid Cloud Migration Pitfalls: Insights for Managers and Team Leaders

We are doing cloud computing for more than a decade right now but still the challenges remain same. Some of those projects are not successful and many CIO's state they dont get from their cloud project what they have expected. There are number of reasons why this happens. During the session I will show you challenges which I have seen throughout my career and explain what went totally wrong.

10+ years with Cloud Computing – what we have learned and how the future will look like!

Cloud Computing right now is one of IT standards.

However, it has been evolving as the offer for the last 10 years and it will change even more.

The speed of change is huge and right know cloud vendors are defining new IT standards, some of them will never happen in the traditional world. The role of people in IT is changing as well, serverless concept, cloud-native concept or low code apps concept, all of them will redefine the way we create IT.

The real question for everyone right now is, what will be my role? How will my role change and evolve? What type of skills shall I develop? By sharing good, bad and ugly stories from the last 5 years I will give you some food for thought. No marketing slides, just pure experience from the field and my own list of 5 trends for the future of cloud development.

Serverless is not about functions.

Serverless is a new concept, however we can already review some recommended architectures and proposed use case scenarios where they fit perfectly. In this session we review some of those based on the real ones.

Serverless - hyper driven development. What we have learned while using serverless in IoT projects?

During the session we will show 10 most important thing we have learned about serverless development in Azure and AWS while build IoT solutions. Serverless is meant to scale and deliver simplicity in microservices world however it also bring a lot of additional thinking, planning, monitoring and debugging around. at the end, it seems, that it is used however not much thinking has been done to validate the concept, architecture and its possibilities for data stream analysis.

How #AI in cloud can help junkyard to be better optimised and lose less?

During the session, we will show a real case studies from couple of junkyards in Poland and Germany. The solution is using Tensorflow framework and other Azure services to help detect contamination and consistency of metals in the junkyard better than employees can do that. Moreover, we have created the API for other junkyards so they can use our solution in their apps on mobile phones to analyse their junkyards better. The ultimate goal is to automate the whole process using image recognition and detection. During the session we will show how we choose and train the algorithms, how we optimise them and what effects we can get using Azure services.

Azure Architecture - What problems you can expect at scale and what you can do with them?

While working with number of customers, it is common to find cornerstones of various Azure architectures. With broad set of services it is not easy to build highly available, scaleable and multitenant apps on cloud with huge number of technological choices. Then, lets review some common examples and talk about approach.
