Michelle Sahar is a dedicated cybersecurity policy specialist with extensive experience developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies. She provides expert consulting to clients, focusing on governance, AI, IoT/IT, and cloud security regulations. Her role involves crafting client-centered recommendations aligned with evolving regulatory landscapes and enhancing client partnerships with U.S. government agencies. In addition to her policy expertise, Michelle is a speaker and recently spoke at CES 2025, where she addressed key challenges in cybersecurity for smart cities.

Previously, Michelle operated at Independent Diplomat and supported efforts focused on global cybersecurity resilience by delivering strategic technology management solutions and conducting research for U.N. cyber working groups. Her work included advising developing states on cyber policy and enhancing international ICT and cybersecurity collaborations. As a Project Manager at the Israel National Cyber Directorate, Michelle addressed unemployment challenges in the cyber sector and led an international comparative research study on cyber regulations, resulting in a strategic shift in defining cyber roles and promoting cyber education.

Michelle holds a Master of International Affairs in Cybersecurity Policy and Innovation from Columbia University and a BA in Government from Reichman University. She is currently a doctorate student at NYU Steinhardt in the Leadership and Innovation program, focusing her research on bridging the gap between technology advancements and innovative policymaking. Her military background in the Israeli military, academic contributions at Reichman University, and UN work on cybersecurity matters further demonstrate her commitment and expertise in the field.
