Etraveli Group manages millions of daily flight searches in our on-premises data centers. Our legacy load balancing relied on proprietary hardware appliances, which often failed to deliver the agility, scalability and dynamic environment demanded by modern applications. This made keeping our Cloud-Native Promises, which rely on those very attributes, very difficult.
We solved this by leveraging Cilium to bump our ingress and load balancing architecture one major version, to a v2:
* Unified Control Plane: Integrating LB-IPAM, BGP, and Gateway API to replace the proprietary stack.
* Performance: Powered by eBPF to handle millions of requests with low latency and high throughput.
* True Cloud-Native: Seamlessly integrates with Kubernetes, enabling dynamic scaling, multi-tenancy and resilience.
