He became interested in content design after encountering a tooltip that reminded him of the Blue Screen of Death. That experience sparked an interest in how words influence trust, decisions, and product adoption.

Over the past decade, Mike has worked across open source software, Linux, security, and identity management. His recent work focuses on applying content design principles to AI systems, exploring how agents can explain trade-offs, present options, and support human decision-making.

Mike is a frequent speaker at open source and technology conferences and is a Red Hat Certified Engineer.
