Myra's humanitarian spirit and keen advocacy skills allowed her to help “women” and their families during the Global Pandemic through the Eviction Settlement Program that was managed by Neighborhood Preservation, Inc., with the cooperation of Memphis Area Legal Services and the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law’s Clinical Program where Attorney Hamilton negotiated financial arrangements with Landlords to help families remain in their homes. These negotiated settlements kept eligible tenants from being evicted where the pandemic threatened not only their health and their livelihoods but their homes as well.
Attorney Hamilton has represented Corporate employees faced with allegations of unlawful and discriminatory workplace practices and has successfully negotiated approved and Client accepted settlements. Myra has also represented Federal Employees before the United States Equal Employment Federal Sector Hearings Unit, where she litigates and negotiates settlements before EEOC Administrative Judges regarding filed Charges of allegations of workplace discrimination against Government Employers. Attorney Hamilton represents federal employees in Washington on EEOC Appeals originating from various Federal Sector Hearings Units.
