Nasr is co-founder and CTO of Steel (steel.dev), where he builds the browser infrastructure that AI agents use to operate the web: thousands of isolated Chromium instances running as low-latency compute primitives. Before Steel, he was a staff engineer at Lazer Technologies working across fintech and web3 systems, and a data engineer at Meta. Earlier, he co-founded a startup that shipped facial-recognition access control on consumer hardware. He studied Computer Science at the University of Waterloo and is based in Toronto. He has strong opinions about cold starts, p99s, and why "just run Chrome in Docker" stops working sooner than you'd think.
