Nelson Tommogo is a Kenyan Software Engineer and Techpreneur, and the Founder and CEO of
SmartMavuno, an AgriTech platform empowering farmers across Kenya through a digital marketplace
and agronomic/agritech training. With a background spanning Software Engineering, blockchain, and
digital public infrastructure, Nelson brings a strong technical foundation to his work in agriculture —
building tools that improve productivity, market access, and food security for smallholder farmers, with
youths and vulnerable women in agriculture as key beneficiaries of SmartMavuno's services. He has
represented Kenya's tech ecosystem on international platforms, including the Blockchain Summer School
hosted by the University of Zurich Blockchain Center, and also represented Kenya at GreSFET 2024 in
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He remains focused on driving innovation that connects farmers, buyers, and
technology across Africa's agricultural value chain.
