Sustainability functionality in Business Central: What's there and why?

Sustainability is an important component of corporate strategy across multiple industries. This session explores the sustainability functionality within Business Central, and is intended mainly for Business Central functional consultants. You do not need to be familiar with sustainability terms, concepts, or regulations.

We will start by exploring the “why” behind sustainability, focusing on the growing regulatory requirements and the importance of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting.

We will then cover the “what” - the current sustainability features available in Business Central, including Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions tracking, the Chart of Sustainability Accounts, and how you could approach sustainability reporting.

Finally, we will look ahead to upcoming Business Central features, and to trends that will impact sustainability management in Business Central.

This session aims to give you the knowledge to help your customers to get the most out of Business Central sustainability functionality.

Onboarding from the perspective of an ISV

With the ongoing enrichment of onboarding capabilities within Business Central, ISVs need to identify what value they can bring to their product users through these capabilities.

We need to balance having just enough content in the right place, at the right time, for the right user. We also need to keep in mind the effort and skills amongst our teams to create and maintain onboarding content.

In this session, we will give an overview of the Business Central onboarding tooling. We will follow by sharing some ideas and insights to date from the perspective of a large ISV, on how we can deliver value to our users and maintain our onboarding content. This includes enabling non-developers to create and maintain content directly.

Microsoft Copilot and AI: Finding a fit to business scenarios

As a consultant, your customers look to you to find the right fit of tech to their business needs, as well as implementing chosen solutions optimally.

Where might current Microsoft Copilot and AI capabilities apply most effectively to customer business scenarios, within BC and across the Microsoft product offering? Also if you're considering implementing your own AI-powered capabilities using the new BC PromptDialog page type, what are some use cases that could work well (and not so well)?

This session looks at the fit of these exciting new capabilities to business scenarios.

AI-Enabled Delivery for Consultants

AI is rapidly reshaping the way consultants analyse requirements, design solutions, and deliver projects. In this practical session, we focus on your day-to-day work, and how AI tools can help you work faster, improve quality, and reduce effort across the project lifecycle.

You’ll learn how Microsoft Copilot and associated AI capabilities can streamline requirements gathering, accelerate documentation, support solution design, and assist with testing and analysis. We’ll explore real examples of how consultants can use AI to uncover insights, challenge assumptions, and deliver value more quickly.

The goal of this session is to show you practical techniques you can apply immediately to enhance your productivity, improve customer outcomes, and meet the increasing expectations placed on consultants.
