At the University of Michigan, I provide leadership to the Center for Campus Involvement (CCI), a comprehensive student engagement department responsible for campus programming; student organization development and support, including the IdeaHub: Student Organization Collaborative Coworking Space open to all 1600+ student organizations; diversity, equity, and inclusion; and, campus resources, including campus-level coordination for student protests and controversial events. Through CCI, I co-created and provide strategy for Student Life's integrative leadership education approach called MLEAD. Also, I provide leadership to Pierpont Commons, one of three student union buildings, with multiple retail, meeting places, and essential services. My research interests include the physical learning environments of college unions and multicultural centers, and how co-curricular spaces facilitate students’ development of multicultural competence.
