2. How can they be used (live example)

SharePoint vs Microsoft Teams vs Office 365 Groups: What Should I Use When?

Microsoft technology is moving at a rapid pace. New ways to work are being developed rapidly as well. A few such new tools are Office 365 Groups and Microsoft Teams. These look powerful and promising but they seem similar. Also, where do they fit with SharePoint? In this session, we will look at what each is, what their differences are, and when is the best time to use each.

Intro to the Office 365 Admin Center

Powerapps vs InfoPath: Battle between the up and comer and the heavy weight champion of the world

If you are like me, you love InfoPath. Even if you don't love it, you probably have respect for it (even if grudgingly). It had been around for a long time and we have done some amazing things with it but it could be a bit decrepit at times. Along comes Powerapps and it is awesome and continually getting better but it's no InfoPath... Yet. In this session, we will look at the differences between the two and when to use each.

DFARS/NIST Compliance, Microsoft, and You

It's 2018 and NIST/DFARS compliance was due at the end of last year. You are a government contractor and you are still trying to figure all of this stuff out. You needed to know what to do yesterday... literally. In this session, we will discuss the requirement and how you can adjust your Office 365, Azure, and SharePoint to get complaint. Not in these any of those places yet but looking to get there? This session is for you too.

Microsoft Flow vs SharePoint Designer: The new kid vs tried and true - what to do

SharePoint Designer has been there for us when we needed to develop workflow for many years and, for the most part, it has been working but now comes this new kid on the block, Flow. Flow is pretty cool and powerful but how does it match up to SPD? In this session, we will look at the differences between the two and when to use which.

How I started a business and became a Microsoft Partner and how you can too!

I ran a business for 6 years from basically tripping through the process and learning as I went. And not, did I learn a lot! In this session, I will share how I accomplish this, my lessons learned, and how you can too!

The Importance of SharePoint Community

SharePoint… it is a Microsoft software that has been around for a long time and has seen many iterations and revitalizations over the years. It has been said that Sharing is the Point with SharePoint and that is true on so many levels. SharePoint has been the cornerstone for knowledge sharing for many organizations, commercial, government, and nonprofit alike. SharePoint has also shared with its developers, administrators, analysts, and project managers an ability to create solutions for their customers while earning a great salary and providing upward mobility. Sharing via SharePoint also happens through community: through being part of the community and through giving back to the community. In this session, I will share with you my take and experience on being part of one of the largest and long lived technology communities in the world and why I believe it is not only important to be a part of the community for your own advancement and knowledge but also the importance of giving back to the community and the many ways you can do so.

To the Cloud! - Moving SharePoint to the Cloud and Some of the Things You Should Know.

Are you considering moving to the cloud? Got old SharePoint and you want to move it to take advantage of all of the cool cloudy stuff you have been hearing about? Wondering about those potential pitfalls? In this session, we will discuss the move to help it become a smoother ride!
