What do you get from Shift Left? / How to get to Shift Left
Abstract
How can you break the cycle from manual QA to automation?
Netanel will share with you the secret manuscript of how he managed to influence the organization he’s working at to take the Shift Left approach.
Shift Left is a practice intended to find and prevent defects early in the software development process.
So how can you get the developers and the entire team on board with this idea and be more quality-oriented?
Furthermore, will you really have more time as a QA to do less Manual testing and more automation?
QA already knows that with the Shift Left approach the entire team has more solidarity, the QA is no longer a bottleneck, and their hands are free from manual testing and have time for automation.
If so, what are the steps and workflows that have to be changed to make a proper shift left?
And the real question is, what do the Developers have to gain from this change?
Spoiler alert, plenty!
