Oladotun Afolabi Oluwajana is a registered geoscientist and Professor at Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa, Nigeria. He holds a B.Sc. in Geology from the University of Ado-Ekiti (now Ekiti State University), an M.Sc. in Petroleum Geology from the University of Port Harcourt, and a Ph.D. in Petroleum Geology and Sedimentology from the University of Ibadan. His Ph.D. research on shale resource systems in the Anambra Basin and Calabar Flank earned the 2017 NMGS/Chevron Research Prize. He completed a pre-doctoral internship at Shell Petroleum Development Company (2012–2013) and served as a Visiting Academic with the African Union Commission through the Pan African University Institute of Life and Earth Sciences at the University of Ibadan in 2021. His research interests include basin modelling, process sedimentology, and biostratigraphic applications, with a focus on Nigerian sedimentary basins.
