Olalekan Joseph Akintande is a Ph.D. Student and a Tutorial Assistant in the Department of Statistics, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He simultaneously works as a Research Assistant & Senior Collaborator at the University of Ibadan Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Statistical Analysis (UI-LISA), Department of Statistics, and a Volunteer - Data Management Specialist at Centre for Petroleum Energy Economics and Law (CPEEL), University of Ibadan.

At UI-LISA, he is serving as a research consultant and conducts daily statistical consulting and research advice to non-Statisticians and domain experts from other faculties and departments within and outside the University of Ibadan community that require statistical advice for their various research. He has facilitated a series of training and workshop on statistical research, statistical software usage & programming, machine learning algorithms, data mining, and statistical methodology.

He was also a volunteer - Data Visualization Analyst with the Royal Statistical Society (RSS) attached with the Inter Care Ltd, United Kingdom (UK). His Ph.D. research focus is on Statistical Learning (Data Mining and Machine Learning). He enjoys coding with R, Octave, and Python. He loves to impact knowledge and enjoys sharing ideas.
