Olamide Makinde is a systems engineer focused on building excellent, scalable, and safe systems that improve how people work, learn, and live.
Her work sits at the intersection of AI systems, operations architecture, and program leadership. She has contributed to the design and evaluation of AI systems through work spanning research, LLM evaluation, data, AI workflow design, and the operational and programmatic systems that support them. She has done this in different capacities across organisations including Turing, British Petroleum, Menaget, and She Code Africa, where she has worked on projects ranging from designing evaluation frameworks for AI assistants to developing modular evaluation scenarios and agent workflows for enterprise AI systems.
Beyond AI systems, Olamide has led operational and program initiatives that scale teams and communities. At Menaget, she redesigned internal delivery workflows and helped structure execution pipelines for software products. At She Code Africa, she has led multiple programs including a technical training academy for women across Africa and coordinated the organisation’s annual summit bringing together speakers, partners, and participants from across the tech ecosystem.
Olamide is passionate about the future of data and AI systems, evaluation frameworks, and human-centered systems design. Through her work and speaking, she hopes to help teams and communities design data-driven systems and AI technologies that are not only powerful, but reliable, responsible, and deeply useful.
