Omkiran Sharma is the Director of Engineering at Rakuten Viki. He leads the Technology Platform group managing the Cloud engineering, Data engineering and Multimedia engineering groups. In the past he has been a bug generator, an FDE before it became fashionable and built real time media streaming capabilities on embedded systems. In the present the mission is enabling teams to do more and figuring out how to scale them up with and without AI. When he is not working he is all things astrophysics nerd and lives to eat rather than the other way around.
