Green Blue strategy makes your Microservice deployment nice and easy

Microservice is a blazing topic today. From SMEs to large corporations, building solution in microservice architecture has been the trend. However, how to quickly build and deploy the microservice to production across different environments while keeping the impact to the live production side to the minimal have been a challenge.

In my talk, I will show the audience how to build the DevOps pipeline and work out a release strategy to better deploy micro-services into production. I call it MicroDevOps. We will use Azure DevOps to build a proof of concept to showcase the concept of blue green deployment and best practises to bring a microservice solution into production.

Building highly scalable IoT solution for contact tracing on Azure

During the global pandemic, there has been emerging demand in smart contact tracing and workplace monitoring solutions. The requirement of this type of IoT solution lies in high availability, scalability and elasticity. A small flaw in the system architecture design could potentially result in a big difference in the performance in production especially when scale up and out.

There are lots of services and tools on Azure that can help us to build an IoT solution. In this talk, I will show the audience how I helped my client to architect and build a real-time data streaming and analytics solution which is used on smart devices for contact tracing and workplace monitoring.

My talk will cover Azure IoT Hub, Event Hub, Azure Function, Azure Stream Analytics. I will highlight on Azure Stream Analytics (ASA) with focus following aspects
1. ASA's role as the brain for a real time data streaming and analytics solution
2. Different ways to bolt up ASA with other Azure services and form an entire efficient and scalable IoT solution
3. Development, benchmarking, DevOps and production monitoring for ASA
4. Some comparison between ASA and Azure Data bricks

Building enterprise dynamic heatmap and monitoring dashboard using Azure Serverless Technologies

During the global pandemic, there has been emerging business demand for contact tracing and social distancing monitoring solutions. A user friendly and dynamic heatmap which reflect the real-time individual locations can help companies and organisations to keep track of the contact tracing and social distancing of employees or attendees.
Leveraging Azure Serverless technologies such as Azure Function, Cosmos DB Serverless and SignalR Service can help us power up our architecture and solve the scaling issue.
In my presentation I will talk audience through how I helped my client design and build a real-time heatmap monitoring system using serverless technologies. I will demonstrate how easy it is to bolt up Azure Function Serverless Hub with Azure Signal R service and serve data from Cosmos DB to frontend application via web socket.

Architecting Enterprise Microservice Solutions with Ocelot on Azure

Microservice has been a blazing topic in .Net's world since .Net Core came up, Microsoft has provided a detailed example on building microservices. In my talk, I will show how I have architected an enterprise solution with cloud native services on Azure and by using Ocelot. I will walk through Ocelot in-depth and show the in-and-out of building an API gateway and protect the services using VNet.
Few buzz words: API Gateway, Ocelot, API documentation, OAuth 2, Microservices, VNet

Azure Machine Learning Service and deep learning - Bring your own toolkit

Machine learning is a blazing topic today. Data scientists love the power of TensorFlow. However, software developers can struggle with a TensorFlow based machine learning solution on Azure. In this talk, I will show you how to use TensorFlow to design a deep learning neural network, train and save the model. I will show how easy it can be to create a service from this model with Azure Machine Learning Service. We will cover data ingestion, experiments, model management and deployment. After this talk, you will have a basic understanding of Azure Machine Learning service, the key concepts and workflows involved and how to integrate with deep learning.
