Muhwezi Paul Agaba is a Ugandan legal practitioner and Tutorial Assistant at Uganda Christian University in the Faculty of Law where he teaches Cyber law among other course units. He is also an Associate at Ndomeirwe & Company Advocates. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Uganda Christian University and a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre. He has a particular interest in Cyber law, Digital rights, Data protection, Artificial intelligence and Human rights. He has also attended several trainings including the Paradigm Initiative 2-Day East Africa Digital Rights Litigation Training for Advocates.
He is also pursuing a Master of Laws Degree from Makerere University, where his research seeks to examine the strengths and weaknesses of the Ugandan consumer protection laws in protecting individuals within Uganda’s evolving financial and digital environment.
He is also interested in questions of access to digital spaces, privacy, data protection, digital inclusion and the protection of fundamental human rights in the digital age. Through his teaching and legal practice, he seeks to contribute to the ongoing discourse on inclusive digital governance and respect of human rights in the digital world.
