Course Workflows: How Ceibal Scaled Training with BPM and Open edX
Ceibal has faced the challenge of managing an increasingly extensive training portfolio, requiring speed and efficiency without compromising pedagogical quality or user experience. Challenges in Assesment for Massive Courses: Insights from Ceibal
At Ceibal, one of the main challenges has been ensuring deep learning for the students taking our courses. The solution often involves using external tools, such as Storyline, to design more complex activities. While Open edX is a flexible platform that allows the integration of other tools, which is a significant advantage, our vision for the future, trough Open Edx community, is to think together about new tools for assesment.
Building an Infrastructure for Sustainable Massive Teacher Training in Uruguay
Ceibal has developed a unique model for large-scale online education, integrating platforms like Open edX with a pedagogy tailored to Uruguay’s context. This approach addresses the need for massive teacher training, balancing scalability and quality. Key challenges include the absence of a traditional teacher role, evaluation of performative skills, and pedagogical data. Solutions involve using taxonomies for learning goals, technopedagogical design, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
