I'm Cloud Evangelist (10+ years of public speaking). Currently working as a DevOps taking care of good shape of the company and team infrastructure both on-premise and cloud. Most of my professional experience spent with Windows Server 2012 R2 and 2016 server administering (AD, GPO, packaging, deployment, CI/CD), PowerShell automation scripting, VMware machines farm, and Cloud Computing - AWS and Azure.
In private.. Geek :) fan of Server installations, Azure and AWS Cloud solutions, SQL, Linux (RHEL, Arch, Debian), virtualization technology (VMware ESX, Hyper-V, Citrix, App-V).
Additionally interested in Project Management (certified in AgilePM®, PRINCE2®) and Leadership.

Area of Expertise
From on-premise to cloud solutions
The aim of this presentation is to focus on the comparison of on-premise solutions (like Hyper-V, VMware, KVM) and cloud solutions (mostly Azure and some AWS, GPC). I'd like to show what the cloud is and how it is different from the on-premise approach. Generally, both have good sites, but I'll put more light to convince consider migration to the cloud.
Is Cloud a safe place for my data?
The aim of the presentation is to convince the audience that Cloud solutions could be safe and they provide a bunch of built-in mechanisms to protect customer data. I'll show (1) the shared responsibility model between the customer and cloud vendor (Azure), (2) safety guarantees and certificates, (3) physical data center infrastructure barriers, (4) red-blue teaming, (5) HADR/BCDR, (6) DB geo-replication, (7) DB point-in-time restore, (8) DB cryptography mechanisms, (9) DB auditing and (10) DB suspicious behavior detection. All those breaks the myth of "unstable" and "not-safe" cloud.
Will Azure help to implement DevOps in your company?
Microsoft Azure as a Cloud Computing vendor provides many services in IaaS and PaaS areas and also as a Microsoft Corporation product fully supports SaaS solution like Office 365. We have got now full landscape of services as a technical solution, but will Azure platform help the company implement new DevOps way of working? DevOps approach is getting more and more popular these days and not easy to kick-off on not experienced in its company. No worries – Azure can help here definitely! Using Azure DevOps tools your company can start to transform into DevOps using: (1) Azure Boards to Agile/Kanban managing tasks and planning, (2) Azure Pipelines to build, test and deploy your application using CI/CD, (3) Azure Repos to connect to your Git repositories with user-friendly file management, (4) Azure Test Plans providing tools for manual and exploratory testing, (5) Azure Artifacts helping to create, host and share packages within the team by the single click and (6) many of extensions, integration plugins for great and popular applications (Jenkins, TeamCity, Slack, VSTS, GitLab, etc.). During the presentation I want to show how Azure can help to implement DevOps philosophy and flow.
Azure Cognitive Services rocks!
Microsoft Azure prepared bunch of services available in general Artificial Intelligence area (including Deep Learning, Machine Learning, comparing objects, etc.). Vision, speech, language, knowledge and search – in those Cloud Computing shows its power. User can start trying them for free on Azure Cognitive Services Lab. I’ll prepare the overview of Azure Cognitive Services and demo how they work in practice! During the workshop we’ll try to check how Azure services can recognize images, tag content, convert speech to text and vice versa and many more. I suppose that for many of users it’ll be the first attempt in Azure Cognitive Services and AI fundamentals at all :)
Science + Azure
Is the Cloud Computing designed only to industry, production, IoT hubs, finance sector? Why not science in the educational and research areas? During the presentation I’ll explain why university sector should migrate their resources from on-premises solutions to cloud and how Azure makes the whole Windows ecosystem much easier and friendlier to use. I’ll show the Azure AD integration, easy and automated solutions to run virtual machines and split heavy monolithic applications to microservices exploring ready-to-use Azure services. It is the thinking paradigm change which is the core of university!
FinTech Cloud path
Azure cloud is getting more and more popular within many industry branches. Why the finance sector is afraid of the cloud revolution? Is there the security vulnerabilities or potential data leak thread? During the presentation I’ll try to focus on most common scenarios of migration to the Azure cloud – starting from the most popular (1) lift-and-shift and recreate heavy VM infrastructure on the cloud to (2) using cloud services as they are designed to be used in a lightweight way. I’ll explain security insurances on cloud vendor site and shared responsibility model. There will be also some real-life examples of a successful migration to Azure cloud.
Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality on Azure
Azure is not only cloud platform which provides access to virtual machines and some connected services. It is much more than that because it provides cognitive services which could be useful in developing solutions for virtual, augmented and even mixed reality. During the presentation, I’ll focus on ready-to-use built-in Azure solutions connected with Microsoft mixed reality products like Microsoft Dynamics 365. This is the technology of tomorrow!
