Peg Moore danced professionally in New York City for decades, teaching and having a dance company, before cancer and the effects of radiation treatment ended her teaching and performing career in 2022. Alongside dance, she built a parallel career as a technology trailblazer — in cryptocurrency since 2010, testing Bitcoin-based games when BTC was worth pennies and long before most of today’s Web3 ecosystem existed. A recognized pioneer and early VeeFriends community member, she’s spoken at NFT.NYC, VeeCon 2024, and Women in Web3 Conference, and is among the first women to inscribe Bitcoin Ordinals as part of the Coin Queens collective. She’s chronicling her tech life in essays on Substack, which she’s compiling into a memoir. Today she runs a Web3 education practice and a live-selling business on Whatnot, bringing the same ‘ahead of the curve’ instinct that’s defined her since her father, a 1970s D.C. radio personality, first taught her to build radios.
