AI has great potential, there is little doubt, but deploying an AI tool and training users is very different to living in a world with AI.
I am a consultant, sociotech and ally, As technology advances, cognitive skills like deep engagement and critical thinking, decline, The more we offload cognitive skills to technology, the greater that decline. Businesses and education needs to change to create a populace that can work with AI, not for it. The skills required in modern business are information literacy, critical thinking and creativity. Teaching employees to write prompts will not be sufficient to stay relevant for the next 5-10 years. We need to change, fast.
