Peter Rose is a computational biologist and bioinformatics leader specializing in AI-enabled scientific discovery through open data and knowledge graphs. He led the Structural Bioinformatics Laboratory at the San Diego Supercomputer Center, where he helped advance the RCSB Protein Data Bank (PDB) as a foundational resource for structural biology and drug discovery, and held leadership roles at Agouron Pharmaceuticals and Pfizer. He currently collaborates with UCSF, NASA, and NSF-funded initiatives to develop biomedical knowledge graphs and AI applications that enable natural-language access to complex scientific data. His work focuses on accelerating biomedical and space health research through open, reproducible science.
