Prashant Mavani is a seasoned Instrumentation, Control, and Automation Engineer with over 18 years of extensive experience driving automation initiatives across the pharmaceutical, chemical, petrochemical, and oil & gas industries. Known for his deep technical expertise and leadership in process automation, Prashant has led complex engineering, design, installation, and commissioning projects in both greenfield and brownfield environments. Throughout his career, Prashant has specialised in DeltaV DCS, DeltaV Live, PLC/SCADA systems, batch control (S88), MES integration, and industrial communication protocols. His hands-on experience spans designing advanced control modules, developing robust phase and recipe logic, commissioning field instrumentation, and integrating automation systems with enterprise platforms. His project portfolio includes major automation programs with Lonza, Genentech, Bayer, Reichhold, Biolab Arabia, and several large-scale terminal automation projects with IOCL and HPCL.
Prashant currently serves as a Project Manager at Emerson, where he leads multi-disciplinary automation projects, manages end-to-end engineering lifecycles, and ensures successful delivery within budget and timeline constraints. He is recognised for his ability to bridge technical and business needs, provide solutions to complex automation challenges, and guide teams through FAT, SAT, commissioning, and go-live stages. His achievements include contributing to four software patents (three approved), earning multiple performance and excellence awards, and developing Emerson India’s first custom terminal automation software solution (eTAS), which led to significant new business for the Ogranization. A strong communicator and strategic thinker, Prashant combines technical mastery with leadership, process Optimization, and customer-focused delivery. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering from Dharmasinh Desai University and is proficient in English, Hindi, and Gujarati.
