.NET's Monorepo, or There and Back Again

Ever since .NET became one of the key pioneers in developing open-source inside Microsoft, it went through several transformations of its build and release infrastructure. While its many GitHub repositories allowed to foster vibrant online communities which were fundamental in the success of .NET's open-source story, building and shipping this complex and large product fast and reliably has become increasingly difficult.

This talk will give you a glimpse in the behind-the-scenes of how .NET is developed and shipped at scale by taking you on a journey that began with .NET Framework's giant monorepo, followed by .NET Core's open-source debut which finally evolved into our latest and freshest transformation that has brought us back to a monorepo-based approach (with a twist!).
