Quentin Geczy, based in London, began his academic journey at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, where he pursued studies in science and economics. Following his time at Yale, he enrolled in the University of Sydney Medical School and completed two years of training. Now, he is looking to continue his medical education closer to Europe while also building a career in consulting and finance with a particular interest in healthcare.

While continuing the medical school application process, Quentin remains committed to health and education through his work in research and tutoring. He runs a private education business that supports students in STEM disciplines and guides them through university admissions. In parallel, he is developing an online platform that offers instructional materials for UK school exams (GCSEs, A-Levels), medical entrance exams (BMAT, UCAT, GAMSAT, MCAT), and standardized tests such as the SAT.

After finishing high school in Australia, Geczy relocated to the United States in 2016 to pursue his undergraduate education. At Yale, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Cellular Development Biology (MCDB) and Economics. His academic experience included working with large datasets using R and applying theoretical economic models to analyze complex finance and resource management systems.

As part of his MCDB coursework, Quentin wrote a thesis titled “Psychedelic Renaissance in Psychiatry,” where he explored how serotonergic psychedelics interact with the 5-HT2A receptor to enhance neuroplasticity. His research reflects current trends in mental health treatments and the evolving use of psychedelics in clinical settings for conditions like depression, anxiety, addiction, and PTSD.

His academic background blends economic reasoning with scientific research, giving him a strong interdisciplinary foundation. It also helped him develop the communication skills to convey complex ideas. At Yale, he was a Division I Varsity Athlete in the Lightweight Crew, earning recognition as an Eastern Sprints Champion and placing second at a national team selection regatta. His athletic involvement taught him discipline, resilience, and leadership.

Geczy’s interest in medicine began early, following a serious cycling accident at the age of thirteen that resulted in a fractured femur. Later, another accident led to a subdural hematoma, spinal fractures, and significant dental injuries, ultimately ending his athletic career. These experiences deepened his appreciation for the human body and the medical professionals who played a role in his recovery.

At the University of Sydney Medical School, he focused on Orthopedic Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, and General Surgery. He completed all course requirements and authored an MD thesis on the “Demographic and Clinical Features of Patients Diagnosed with Achalasia.” His clinical rotations at Royal North Shore Hospital and other medical facilities included Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine, Anesthetics, and General Practice, among others.

He also contributed to published research at Sydney Musculoskeletal Health, co-authoring two studies on osteoarthritis treatments. His early clinical experiences included placements in London, Melbourne, and Germany, which gave him a broad understanding of acute and chronic care across medical systems.

Over the past five years, Quentin has tutored biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics students, helping them succeed in competitive exams. He has also mentored student-athletes in navigating the college recruitment process. His education business grew rapidly, and he remains actively involved with his clients throughout their academic journeys.

He is fluent in French, German, and English and holds citizenship in three countries. He stays active through running, cycling, swimming, and skiing. Quentin Geczy continues to channel his multidisciplinary training and personal experiences into impactful work in education, healthcare, and beyond.
