Quincy has always had a passion for technology and the industry, from the time he built his own personal computer from scratch to editing his Myspace page with basic HTML and CSS. Since attending an intensive program to learn web development, Quincy enjoys being an Engineering Manager at Comcast and a Web Development Instructor at the University of Pennsylvania.

Moving into management can be one of the most challenging experiences one can face in their career. It requires a great amount of learning about the ins-and-outs of going from an individual contributor to a people leader. In this talk, we will discuss some of our experiences in becoming managers for the first time and what resources aided in our transition. We hope to spark discussion primarily among those interested in (or transitioning to) engineering management, but welcome all leaders across all spaces.
