Radhika is an environmentalist who is passionate about creating impact. She graduated in Environmental Sciences from Germany and has interned with UNFCCC, Bonn.
She decided to return to India for work where she felt the need for change was stronger. She believes that Environmental and Social Justice go hand in hand and she founded Badlaav Social Reform Foundation, an NGO that addresses both, social and environmental issues.
She initiated SAKSHAM (Safe knowledge on Sexual Health and Menstruation) under the organisation and is reaching out to teenagers and menstruators in low income communities with awareness sessions on topics under Comprehensive Sexuality Education, menstrual hygiene and sustainable period products while building community models and generating livelihoods. she has reached out to 4000+ low-income menstruaters and have saved 28000 kg sanitary waste from landfills.
She is also the outgoing Curator at Global Shapers Community, Pune Hub and is a co-lead of Project Zero Waste. She was a part of Davos 50 cohort of young leaders invited for the World Economic Forum's Annual Conference at Davos in May 2022.
Radhika loves reading and traveling. She holds keen interest in social issues and likes to discuss different topics and issues with her friends, that gives her an opportunity to learn and unlearn. She takes keen interest in politics as she feels it can provide an opportunity to create greater impact.
