Rafael Sabbagh is the co-founder of Knowledge21, where he has been working with agile transformations of companies ranging from startups to multinationals in the last few years. He has over two decades of experience with enterprise IT projects, product development and software development methods and techniques. He has been working with Agile and Scrum since the mid 2000’s.

He is a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST), an Accredited Kanban Trainer (AKT) and was a member of the Scrum Alliance Board of Directors from 2015 to 2017. He has a master’s in business and a Computer Engineering degree.

Rafael has done training and coaching in over 20 countries in the last few years, including USA, Brazil, Spain, Peru, Colombia, India, Hong Kong, Canada, Belgium, Switzerland, UK and many others. He speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese fluently. Rafael also spoke in several events throughout the globe, including over a dozen Scrum Gatherings and major Agile events worldwide. By traveling and interacting with different communities and cultures he has got a global view on how knowledge work is being done globally, what the main challenges are and ideas on how one can get around them.

Working in software development projects in the past and with Agile training and coaching in different segments for the past several years brought Rafael the knowledge and experience to write and publish, in 2013, the first book about Scrum written in Portuguese. It is today a well known reference in Brazil.

Rafael Sabbagh es cofundador de Knowledge21, donde ha estado trabajando con transformaciones ágiles de empresas que van desde startups hasta multinacionales en los últimos años. Cuenta con más de dos décadas de experiencia con una variedad de proyectos y tecnologías, desarrollo de productos y métodos y técnicas de desarrollo de software. Trabaja con Agile y Scrum desde mediados del año 2000.

Rafael es un Certified Scrum Trainer (CST), un Accredited Kanban Trainer (AKT) y fue miembro del Board of Directors de la Scrum Alliance de 2015 a 2017. Tiene una maestría en administración y es Ingeniero de Computación. 

Rafael ha realizado formaciones y coaching en más de 20 países en los últimos años, incluyendo EE.UU., Brasil, España, Perú, Colombia, India, Hong Kong, Canadá, Bélgica, Suiza, Reino Unido y muchos otros. Habla inglés, español y portugués con fluidez. Además, Rafael fue ponente en varios eventos alrededor del mundo, incluyendo más de una decena de Scrum Gatherings y grandes eventos ágiles en todo el mundo. Por haber viajado e interactuado con diferentes comunidades y culturas, adquirió una visión global de cómo el trabajo de conocimiento se está haciendo globalmente, cuáles son los principales retos e ideas sobre cómo se los puede solucionar. 

La realización, durante todos estos años, de formaciones y coaching ágil en distintos segmentos le trajeron a Rafael el conocimiento y experiencia para escribir y publicar, en 2013, el primer libro sobre Scrum escrito en portugués. Hoy es una referencia bien conocida en Brasil.
