Rafa is the lead artist for the GenZ artistic team at Latino Society. He is a 17 year-old high school senior and National Merit Scholar. Rafa presented at TedX in 2019 to explain why he chose to unschool and enroll in college at age 13 to pursue his own course of education. Upon returning to a public high school, he could not find an up-to-date offering for tech and attended an NFT conference in Miami in 2021 where he immediately went down the Web 3 rabbit hole. Disheartened by the lack of Latino representation and participation at this event, Rafa conceived of the idea for Latino Society to create the opportunities he wanted to see for himself, his friends, and his family in the NFT space.
