Rajyavardhan Handa is a distinguished Senior Cybersecurity Engineer with over a decade of experience leading transformative security initiatives across AI/ML, application, and cloud infrastructure ecosystems. He has architected enterprise-wide security programs that have advanced compliance with global standards, reduced organizational risk, and set new benchmarks in cybersecurity excellence.
At Workday, Rajyavardhan designed and led the company’s enterprise-wide penetration testing and bug bounty programs, enabling sustained FedRAMP Moderate authorization and securing major U.S. federal customers such as the Department of Energy and the Defense Intelligence Agency. He developed a centralized pentest orchestration framework and introduced AI security methodologies that have become canonical practices within the organization. His leadership in defining Workday’s inaugural AI Security Framework for the Illuminate platform strengthened resilience against emerging AI-specific threats while maintaining compliance and privacy across a $5 billion AI ecosystem serving 70 million users.
Prior to Workday, Rajyavardhan served as Security GRC Manager at Salesforce, where he led global SOC 1/2 and PCI compliance programs for Salesforce Hyperforce, accelerating secure cloud adoption across regulated industries. At Walmart, he architected large-scale Azure security frameworks and IAM systems protecting over 200 million customer identities, pioneering policy-as-code implementations and identity governance automation that significantly reduced policy violations and compliance costs.
Earlier in his career at Ernst & Young (EY), Rajyavardhan partnered with clients such as Google, Unilever, GE, IBM, and Infosys, developing risk and compliance frameworks that shaped industry best practices. His work with Google on ad measurement and fraud detection became the foundation for Media Rating Council (MRC) and IAB accreditation standards, transforming the transparency of digital advertising ecosystems.
Rajyavardhan holds an M.S. in Computer Science from Rutgers University and a B.E. in Information Science and Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University. He is an IEEE Senior Member and certified in CISSP, CISA, CAISP, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and ITIL V3 Foundation.
