Ramesh Jitta is a Senior Director of Software Engineering at Capital One, where he stands among the top <1% of technical leaders in the organization. With over twenty years of expertise in data and software engineering, Ramesh specializes in managing and architecting scalable, real-time, cloud-native platforms that drive intelligent products at the enterprise level. He leads a team of more than 50 engineers focused on Capital One’s core real-time Data Sharing and Data Decisioning platform—a system he designed to securely transfer over 50-100 PB a year of data from external sources. His leadership has directly delivered more than $100 million in business value this year by enabling instant, compliant decisions for credit card issuances, credit line increases, and ensuring timely payment processing, all under rigorous federal and state regulatory standards. Earlier in his career, Ramesh held pivotal roles at Fannie Mae, where he contributed to flagship loan delivery and underwriting integrations for faster, more accurate loan processing, and at Deloitte Consulting, where he architected and implemented major healthcare solutions for the State of Rhode Island. He holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Osmania University.
