One in every 6 people in the world has a disability and could benefit from a better accessible web. And with the new European accessibility act just around the corner, creating these accessible applications will become an even more important skill for a front-end developer.

It can feel overwhelming having to navigate all these guidelines but know that small changes can make a big impact.
Join me on this journey to discover different ways to use CSS to level up your application's accessibility.

During the talk, we will cover some of the most important topics including color, ordering, and focus. Most importantly I'll highlight which group of users will benefit from implementing them.

Inclusivity in tech, the missing link to great software

We all have the goal to create the best possible software for our users. There is a lot of time spent on raising the seniority and skill levels within our teams, expecting it to lead to better software. Well, I'm here to tell you that this is only part of the effort we need to achieve our goal.

Teams with a wide array of ages, genders, cultural and educational backgrounds have shown higher levels of innovation and better business decisions.

In this session, I would like to show you some real-world examples that would have benefitted from more diverse teams and give you some advice on how to create an environment within your team, and company to be more inclusive.
